William MacIntyre of Eriboll

William MacIntyre was born in 1802 in the parish of Durness, the son of Donald McIntyre. He was licensed by the Presbytery of Tongue and ordained missionary minister at Melness and Eriboll in 1838. At the time of the Disruption Mr. MacIntyre joined the Free Church but retired through ill health. He did however subsequently take services at Strathy.1 He died on 5th May, 1853, in Melness.
